Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2026
Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information HerCloser (“we”, “us”) collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. By using HerCloser, you agree to this Policy.
1. What we collect
- Account information — your name and email address when you sign up (via email/password or Google sign-in).
- Practice session data — the scenarios you choose, transcripts of your practice conversations, scores, feedback, and progress over time.
- Voice data — audio captured during a voice practice session so the Service can transcribe and respond in real time.
- Usage & device data — basic technical information (browser type, device, and interactions) needed to run and secure the Service.
2. How we use your information
- To provide the Service — run practice sessions, generate responses, and show your feedback and progress;
- To improve our product and AI experience (for example, understanding which features help most);
- To communicate with you about your account, billing, and support;
- To keep the Service secure and prevent misuse.
3. Voice data
Voice audio is captured only during an active practice session to power live transcription and the AI buyer’s responses. We do not sell your voice data and do not share it with advertisers. Where live transcription runs in your browser, audio is processed on your device and is not stored by us. Where a session uses our real-time voice provider (see “Third-party processors”), audio is processed to generate the buyer’s speech and your transcript.
4. Third-party processors
We use trusted service providers to operate HerCloser. They process data on our behalf under agreements that limit how they may use it:
- Firebase / Google Authentication (Google LLC) — for account sign-in and secure data storage.
- ElevenLabs — for real-time conversational voice during voice practice sessions. Audio and text may be processed by ElevenLabs solely to generate the buyer’s voice and your transcript.
- Payment processor — to handle subscription billing. We do not store your full card details.
5. What we do NOT do
We do not sell your personal data to advertisers or data brokers. We do not use your private practice transcripts to publicly identify you.
6. Cookies
We use minimal, functional-only cookies and similar local storage — for example, to keep you signed in and remember preferences. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
7. Your rights
You can:
- Access & export your data — request a copy of the information associated with your account;
- Delete your account — permanently remove your account and associated practice data;
- Correct inaccurate account information.
To exercise any of these, email hello@hercloser.com.
8. GDPR (EU/EEA users)
If you are in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your data, and to object to certain processing. Our legal bases for processing are performing our contract with you (providing the Service), your consent (for example, voice capture during sessions), and our legitimate interests in operating and improving HerCloser. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
9. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data, except where we must retain limited records to meet legal or accounting obligations.
10. Children
HerCloser is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, provide additional notice where appropriate.
